One of the key parameters in the study of narrative theory is the mode of narration. In the context of narrative representation¹, the specific process by which a story is narrated, termed as 'Narratology'. Within a narrative account, the narrator possesses the prerogative to evaluate specific events or characters. Indeed, the literary narrative itself is constructed through the narrative voice and discourse of this narrator. Based on the extent of the narrator's participation in the story. Theorists have identified various modes of narration—namely.

First-person narrative situation, Authorial narrative situation and Figural narrative situation.

In the first-person narrative mode, the narrator is present within the narrative as an active participant and storyteller. Omniscient narration constitutes a powerful narrative technique within the literary landscape, wherein the narrator—despite not being a visible character within the story—exercises control over the entire narrative world. Conversely, the figural narrative mode typically employs the first-person perspective. Needless to say, this theoretical framework serves not only to facilitate an understanding of the formal aspects of the novel but also aids in comprehending and interpreting⁶ the complex dynamics of human relationships within an ever-evolving society.
