রবীন্দ্র-চিন্তায় দুঃখ ও মুক্তি : চিঠিপত্র সাত/ Sorrow and Liberation in Tagore’s Thought: Letters – Seven

Abstract

Rabindra Patra sahitya are the best medium for self–discovery. His letters cover a various subjects like society, state, religion, philosophy, education, literature, love, etc. along with the awareness of joy and sorrow, he also offers ways to overcome them. I have tried to show this based on the letters written to Kadambini Devi in volume-7 of some letters. The purpose of human life is to establish the nature of truth in life. To achieve that goal hard work is required. That pursuit (sadhana) is successful in extreme pain and suffering. And on the path of sorrow, you have to sacrifice your life for that sadhana by giving your own blood. The poet reached this level of Self-realization through countless deaths and bloodshed and become aware of the true nature of worldly life. Therefore, the poet never lost faith in God under any circumstances. Between union-separation, happiness-sorrow, Achievement and failure. Because sorrow is the true capital in ours lives. The union that binds us together, in separation it transcends into a universal consciousness. In the life of the hero of his ‘EKRATRI’ short story, an eternal night emerged form a sad night of unrequited love. Deep sorrow illuminatets the light of true humanity life – within which eternal happiness is born. In his puja parjay songs says - ‘’Dukhher Timire Jole Tobo Mangol Alok Tobe Tai Hok.’’ Rabindranath tagore, in shilaidaha, sajadpur, patisar coming into contact with nature and people. And by absorbing the infinite theory of the universe, reaching a philosophical level. And gives us the gift of the priceless gems of human consciousness to transcend into a greater life. Indian philosophy talks about eternal liberation from suffering or spiritual liberation but the poet has objections to this eternal liberation. Rabindra’s philosophy shows the path to greatness in life, not by avoiding suffering but by accepting it truthfully and wishing.
