Abstract
Manik Bandyopadhyay is a renowned artist of Bengali short stories. Along with novels, he has also written many short stories. The existential crisis of the lower and middle classes of society, the constant struggle for survival and the complex crises of the mind are depicted to the greatest extent in his stories. The present article discusses the complexity of the human psyche in Manik Bandyopadhyay's short stories.
