Abstract

Literature talks about the world and life. Literature is open and appropriate for all, from all walks of life. But the Dalit literature we are talking about is those who are economically deprived, socially oppressed, neglected, humiliated and deprived for ages; The subject of our discussion is to highlight how the presence of life pain in the hearts of those marginalized, exploited, deprived, neglected people who are untouchable by the so-called caste-based society, who are Dalit by birth due to social discriminations, has came up in Bengali literature. While discussing the context of the position of Dalits in Bengali fiction, it has been shown how Dalits have appeared in modern Bengali fiction from ancient and medieval literature. An attempt is made to discuss the extent to which the history of the sufferings of Dalits born and brought up in a hostile environment has emerged in the works of other writers. Because the life that has not realized the pain of their deprived life, that life can never reveal the true nature of that pain. The true form of literary work depends on the mind, mentality, thought, religious and social beliefs of the writer.
