Abstract

A well-known novel on the body of society and the sociology of the body is 'Halde Golap'. During the year 2012-13, this novel created a stir among the readers when it was serially published in 'Robbar' edited by the late Rituparna Ghosh. The novel depicts the feelings of people in crisis. The story is interspersed with scientific facts. 'Halde Golap' was first published in January 2015. Swapnamoy Chakraborty received the Anand Award of 1421 Bangabd for his novel. On the canvas of the novel, the novelist paints a picture of the tensions of the lives of people of different marginalized genders. At the time of awarding the award, "The author's work is a discovery of the trivialities of life," and the certificate given to the author said, "The context was covered not in Bengali fiction, but in the same year, in Uttara, Dhaka." A group of heterosexual marginalized people shot one of another group over a dispute over money withdrawal. Again, on March 30, 2015, when blogger Washikur Rahman Babu was killed in Begunbari, Dhaka, when the group of fanatical assailants were fleeing, frightened or innocent bystanders were standing idly by, then Lavanya caught the two killers almost single-handedly. Who is identified in society as a transgender, not as a human being. In the same year, the Rajya Sabha (Bangladesh) Bill was passed on April 24, 2015 to protect the rights of marginalized genders. In 2015, Manavi Banerjee, a marginalized gender, joined Krishnanagar Government College as principal. On April 15, 2014, the Supreme Court of India recognized transgender, hijra or kinnar groups as a distinct marginalized gender apart from male and female. In one Bengali New Year, the Supreme Court's verdict, then the silence of the whole country and in the coming New Year, the novel about transsexuals, transsexuals, was published, 'Halde Golap'. Its cover features symbols of the LGBT movement - a straw tied with a pink rope and the headless torso of a wooden doll. This novel is about the dreams of the sexual people who are puppets of the family, society, law and the state and the way to fulfill the dream and the obstacles on that way.
