Abstract

‘Co-operative’ is the combined action and purpose of all— the combined result of these two thoughts. That is, if people with the same thinking are motivated by the ideals of democracy and engaged in the pursuit of social and economic welfare while maintaining equality, then that system is called co-operative. Co-operative principle basically means that all works for all, each works for the other. The combined efforts of co-operatives can move society, country and nation forward. Rabindranath used this idea of rural development. The journey to Russia opened up new horizons for Rabindranath's social thought. He has witnessed in his long journey how co-operatives can be used to make society and people stand up, to build the backbone of the country and nation. Where is the need for this thinking in today's changing world? How co-operative thinking can be used in human and state formation will be discussed in the main article.
