Abstract

Literature is a mirror of life. Stories related to life are reflected in the world of literature. Just as the story of life is the root of the story of literature, so is the root of every life. Germination is the birth of life. As life grows, those roots become stronger. Life is uprooted from life when life is cut off from its roots. A rootless nation like Bengali is rare in the world, the heartache of searching for the roots of this fragmented being has been expressed in the pages of literature, one of the mirrors of life.

         Hasan Azizul Haq the traditional story writer of Bengali literature, uprooted from the roots of his life and realized the pull of those roots at the root of life. From that realization, he walked on the rough ground of dusty childhood and adolescence through literary works. Literature may have been used as a tool to fulfill the desire to return to the roots, and the story of the roots has been used as a tool for literature. The root story is the basis of his story. He derived the plot of his first story from a tragic incident in the rugged terrain of Raar. The soil where the writer spent his childhood and youth, the soil where the roots of the writer are said to be, brings the scent of that soil to our consciousness in the pages of his written literature. How the fragmented experience of his own life is recorded on the pages of his written stories, how the scent of the roots is spread in the fresh air of his writing, we will see how the story of the roots has become the root of the story.
