Literature is the banyan tree of time, encompassing everything like its sprawling branches. It is inevitably bound by the constraints of time. Literature serves as both a mirror of society and a document of its era. Time must be the central focus of its progression. A creator incorporates the twists and turns of time into their work in their own unique style. Literature cannot advance by denying or transcending time; it must conform to its mold. Every branch of literature flourishes with leaves and blossoms. In this essay, I have attempted to portray the signs of time and place that were constructed in Bengali novels of the 1980s and 1990s.
